The theme of the 2026 edition opens a space for reflection on how the performing arts and stage design are explored as forms of knowledge, resistance, and memory-building, in relation to equality, visibility, and contemporary social realities.
Open Call
The open call for Bucharest Scenography Biennale 2026 is open from January 12 to March 1, 2026 and invites participation in the following international exhibitions:
Shifting Grounds
International exhibition for professional practitioners
Rising Voices
International exhibition for emerging artists
Young Design
International exhibition for students and universities
The selection of artists will be announced on March 27, 2026.
